TCG Construction was appointed as the main contractor for a major transformation at 18 Cross, a commercial tower in Singapore’s Central Business District. Designed by DCA Architects, with civil and structural engineering by Cundall Singapore, the multi-phase project extended beyond interiors, encompassing new façade installations, curtain wall retrofits, and extensive additions and alterations across both the tower and podium levels.
Executed in a live environment, works spanned open-plan offices, lift lobbies, washrooms, service corridors, and retail spaces across 12 floors. A key feature was the construction of an external steel staircase linking every level of the office tower, alongside a double-volume entrance and dedicated End-of-Trip facilities.
Through phased delivery, close stakeholder coordination, and detailed BIM modelling, the team ensured seamless M&E integration with legacy systems while improving safety, reducing rework, and supporting the project’s upcoming Green Mark Platinum certification. The project was recognised with a 5-Star Award for Best Commercial Renovation/Redevelopment (Singapore) at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2025–2026. All images courtesy of Nathanael Lim.
