From managing supply chain risks to reducing carbon emissions across our sites, our work has always aimed to balance commercial outcomes with long-term impact. That’s why receiving the EcoVadis Silver Medal matters. It validates the systems we’ve built, the decisions we make, and the partnerships we choose. But what does the rating mean and how does it shape the way we work?
Understanding EcoVadis and What It Measures

EcoVadis is a global sustainability ratings platform that evaluates how well companies integrate environmental, social, and ethical practices into their business and supply chains. It provides a trusted benchmark for more than 100,000 companies across 175 countries, helping partners and suppliers make informed decisions grounded in shared values.
Each company is assessed across four key themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Based on the results, EcoVadis awards medals as a way to recognise top performers.
These medals aren’t handed out lightly. They’re based on a company’s percentile rank, calculated across all industries globally, not just within a specific sector. This means that earning a Silver Medal reflects performance in the top 15% of all rated companies worldwide over the past 12 months.
What a Silver Medal Really Means
Like thousands of companies worldwide, we were evaluated through a rigorous framework grounded in 21 sustainability criteria. Each assessment is tailored to our industry and region. To achieve a Silver Medal, we had to demonstrate strong systems in place. This is assessed through EcoVadis' three management pillars: Policies, Actions, and Results. It demonstrates that our commitment to areas such as safe working conditions, waste reduction, supplier ethics, and data transparency is documented, measurable and verifiable.

This places us in the top 15% of all rated companies globally, across all industries. For a main contractor in Singapore, where we oversee complex projects involving interior fit-out, building refurbishment, and commercial office fit-outs, that level of scrutiny matters.
Beyond recognition, the Silver Medal provides our clients assurance. Sustainable procurement practices reduce risk across the supply chain and protect brand reputation. It positions us to build better, both in structure and in principle.
How This Recognition Fits into Our Long-Term Goals
Earning the EcoVadis Silver Medal is a direct result of the sustainability initiatives we’ve been embedding into our operations over the past year. At TCG, our goal has always been to deliver interior fit-out, construction services, and building refurbishment projects that go beyond compliance.

The medal aligns closely with our ESG roadmap, which supports the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and commits us to measurable, time-bound targets. These include a 25% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 2030, an 80% waste recycling and reuse rate by 2029, and a 20% drop in energy consumption intensity by 2029. Our greenhouse gas reduction target has also been assessed, approved, and successfully listed with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), further reflecting our commitment to building for a better environment.
We’re already seeing these efforts take root. In 2024, over 500,000 square feet of green-compliant projects were delivered, including Platinum-level fit-outs for clients in finance, insurance, and hospitality. At the same time, 70% of operational waste was recycled across our sites, and we’ve begun rolling out the OROKO digital waste management system to track materials more accurately and reduce landfill dependency.

This sustainability push is built on strong governance. Our ISO 14001:2015 certification ensures our environmental management system is internationally recognised, while being bizSAFE certified guarantees safety standards across our supply chain. It’s a systems-based approach, where every action is aligned with long-term goals.
Ultimately, the Silver Medal recognises our commitment to building smarter, cleaner, and more responsibly. But more importantly, it reflects the daily decisions our teams make, on-site, in meetings, and throughout our value chain.
