As we enter the third quarter of the year, we teamed up with Thryft for a donation drive that had our team digging through shelves and cupboards for treasures ready for a good cause.

The premise was simple: give pre-loved books, toys, and clothes a second chance by passing them on to someone who could use them.

This wasn’t about making a statement, but about encouraging everyone at TCG to make a habit out of small, considerate actions. Our team embraced the spirit wholeheartedly, bringing in everything from childhood favourites to practical essentials, all destined for new homes thanks to Thryft’s thoughtful redistribution.

Thryft and the Circular Economy: Why It Matters

By partnering with Thryft, we wished to promote a more thoughtful way to consume and share. This round of donations was all about second-hand goods, reinforcing Thryft’s circularity model and nudging our team to see value in both giving and accessing pre-loved items.

A small but meaningful step toward smarter consumption habits, showing how we’re putting circular economy principles into action every day. Much like our approach to interior design and fit-out services, where resourcefulness and intentionality are core.

Making Small Actions Count

Success isn’t just measured by profits or projects, it’s also about purpose. As the Accounts team in TCG Construction puts it, our donation drive initiatives are more than just acts of giving, they reflect who we are and what we stand for.

Business can and should be a force for good. For the HR team at TCG Construction, giving back isn’t just an initiative. It’s part of our identity.

Every donation drive is a chance to set a new norm, not just for us, but for everyone who comes across this story. The real goal isn’t in counting how many books or clothes we gather, but in sparking those small, everyday habits that grow into something meaningful over time.

The hope is that this drive prompts employees, partners, and even readers to look for similar opportunities in their own circles. When giving and re-use become routine, the collective impact adds up over time.

Small efforts, repeated over time, can shift an organisation’s culture in meaningful ways. Teaming up with Thryft helped us stay on track, but honestly, it’s all about our team showing up and pitching in.

There’s no single solution to creating a more thoughtful, responsible workplace. But every action contributes to the bigger picture. Reading this? Consider yourself invited: just jump in wherever you are!
